Soothe that itchy spring throat naturally

During this time of year more and more people tend to sneeze and cough more than any other time. But, it’s not the season that’s causing the itchy throats and the uncontrolled sneezing; it’s the pollen that is running like mad through the air we breathe.

1. Slippery Elm: This comes for the slipper elm tree bark and has been a traditional remedy for a multitude of things with the Native Americans. It can help soothe and tame those throat irritations and it can be found in lozenge form. This slippery elm plant is endangered so make sure to find a source that grows it sustainable.
2. Propolis: If you are a fan of beeswax products then you should add this one to your beeswax products. This is soothing blend of beeswax and tree resins that bees use to build on the inside of man-made hives or to build there own hives in the wilds. It can be used to fight off infections and kill bacteria as well. You can take several teaspoons a day to help with itchy throats and to help with extra protection too.
3. Licorice Root: This is an anti-inflammatory and antiviral herb and it can also help reduce pain and viruses that are causing the itchy, scratchy, painful throat to begin with. Can be purchases in tincture form and can be taken up to four times a day.
