Have a Better Bathroom in your Home
Most people think green when it comes to their home cleaning routine, but there are other ways you can go green within your home and it can be little changes such as changing to eco-friendly bed linens and eco-friendly body products. One way to change in your bathroom is, of course, to use better, environmentally friendly cleaning agents. And there is other ways as well, such as…
1. Use eco-friendly towels. Some brands use 50% less cotton in their products and less fuel in the manufacturing of the towels. Eco-friendly towel are a better choice because you can load over half the regular amount of towels into your washer and dryer and save on not only detergent, but on water and electricity to operate that washer and dryer as well. This means a lower carbon footprint within your household.
2. When doing remodeling or updating your bathroom’s appeal look for recycled glass, recycled granite and even some placed have savaged marble that you can use for the floors and the walls. Some of the styles from the 50s, 60s and event eh 70s are making a comeback now and even better is you can find ones that are salvaged and use them over again in your home now. These all means using less of the earth’s resources and using less agricultural waste for fuel.
3. Recycling within your own bathroom is a great way to have a better bathroom. Look for bio degradable wash clothes and towels. And look for products to use within your bathroom that have low packaging, this can cut down on landfill waste and also help with landfill waste with cloth as well. Always purchase beauty products, paper goods, such as recycled toilet paper, that are always organic and recyclable.
*Natural and Sustainable Living Tip: Take shorter showers and use less hot water. Shorter showers will cut down on water waste and using less hot water not only saves on energy to heat that water, but it’s also better for your skin over all.
