Collect money for your school through recycling
With a TerraCycle Brigade you can help the planet and even better, gain money for your school in the process. TerraCycle Brigade can help you earn money for your child’s school or other organization just by having people donate used wrappers from cookies, crackers, and drink pouches like Capri Sun.
The TerraCycyle’s program help to bring the emphasis of lack of school funding with the social and environmental impact to the earth and worldwide. Capri Sun juice pouches have been made into everything lately from purses to wallets to even backpacks made from the complete packaging of the drink pouch.
TerraCycles is hoping to make the industry of products from waste and other materials otherwise thrown away. They are hoping to also revolutionize the industry in making affordable products from wasted materials that would otherwise end up in the land fills and contaminate the planet even further.
This program helps children and even some adults understand the need for a program of this magnitude. With help from school-age children and other non profit groups you can start by creating a group and getting pouches and wrappers from otherwise un-recyclable products and in turn those wrappers gain your school or organization money and your pouches and wrappers get made into cool gear that can actually be used for school or other means.

*Natural and Sustainable Living Tip: When it comes to Mylar balloons they may look awesome at birthday parties, but keep in mind they can’t be recycled. When it comes to choosing good balloons, skip the Mylar ones and go for ones made of recycled latex or rubber. Find a huge selection here.

I want to give an update about the newest TerraCycle programs. We’re just announcing our newest Brigade partnerships, with Frito-Lay and Mars. With their myriad brands and products, we’ll be able to greatly expand the Brigades, and also make some different products out of these new materials.
