BioBased Insulation

by

BioBased Insulation is a spray foam insulation which has an air barrier around your entire home. This creates an air lock to where your home can not have dust, and air pollutants to penetrate the walls. It is made from soy bean oil from United States farmers. It is environmentally efficient and eco-friendly.

It expands twice its size when applied to your walls and always keeps its shape. There are great advantages over conventional insulation, one being there are no glass particles like fiber glass insulation has and two, and it doesn’t settle over time and allow air to escape through certain areas around it. Biobased Insulation will fill every hole and every crack to prevent any type of air escape in your home. Biobased insulation can and will help cut your cost of heating and cooling your home and therefore end up saving you more money in the long run.

Biobased Insulation is water proof as well, unlike conventional insulations that can loose it shape once water hits it and it can also become mildewed and rot over time if it is not change after water has hit the surface of the insulation. Some of the top important aspects of Biobased Insulation are:

1. Helps to reduce your heating and cooling cost.
2. Seals every area in your home where air can tend to leak, like around outlets.
3. Helps to reduce indoor pollution by cutting down on air mites and dust particles.
4. It will not settle into cracks or spaces over time and it remains its same shape for the life of your home.

*Natural and Sustainable Living Tip: Wood floors are nice to have and allow for easy cleaning, but you could be heating your home 10 times more than you would if you have carpet. If you feel like your hardwood floors are causing your home to become chilly, think about applying area rugs to the floors to help insulate them. If this still is an issue, then hire someone to check under your home to see if you need to up date your home’s insulation as well.
